This new £45m science research building for the University of Oxford was secured via a successful limited design competition in a collaboration between Nightingale Associates and make architects.

The building envelope was designed to reflect the natural shades of green found on the trees surrounding the wooded site, as well as provide flexibility to accommodate the various and different uses and spaces within the building.
