This new-build Church of England worship and community centre in Buckfastleigh was conceptualised as a pair of hands clasped in prayer, reaching out to the heavens. The plan is based on a very precise hexagonal grid, and the internal dimensions were calculated to two decimal places in millimetres!


The building is clad in tern-coated stainless steel, and has a segmented roof that originates from the ground and terminates in a flèche.
